Introduction (from Wikipedia) Dresden (etymologically from Old Sorbian Drežďany, meaning people of the riverside forest) is the capital city of the German Federal Free State of Saxony. It is situated in a valley on the River Elbe. The Dresden conurbation is part of the Saxon Tr Minsk (Belarusian: Мінск IPA: [mʲinsk]; Russian: Минск; IPA: [miɲsk]), is the capital and largest city in Belarus, situated on the Svislach and Niamiha rivers. Minsk is also a headquarters of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
