Introduction (from Wikipedia) Israel is a country in Western Asia, on the south-eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. It shares land borders with Lebanon in the north, Syria in the northeast, Jordan on the east, the Palestinian territories. The Soviet Union, aka USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) was a socialist state that existed from 1922 to 1991. It was the first communist state ever, and the largest country in the world.
