Kindle DX is the high-end model of Amazon's e-book reader Kindle. It is larger and has more storage capacity than the Kindle 2. At $379, the Kindle DX is also pricier than the Kindle 2.

Display
The Kindle DX has a 9.7-inch display that is geared toward students and professionals who want to read textbooks or documents. It also has an accelerometer (like the iPhone), so it changes page orientation from portrait to landscape mode when it is rotated. This makes it ideal for maps, graphics and charts.
Storage Capacity of Kindle DX vs Kindle 2
The Kindle 2 has internal memory of 2GB, out of which approximately 1.4GB is available for user content. This allows the storage of about 1,500 non-illustrated e-books. The Kindle DX has 4GB internal with approximately 3.3GB available for user content. This translates to a storage capacity of about 3,500 e-books for the Kindle DX.
Wireless Connectivity
While both devices offer the ability to wireless download e-books from Amazon.com, the wireless connection for Kindle DX works only in the United States (as of December 2009). This is expected to change in a few months.
